Brian Kim is an Asian American filmmaker, actor and podcaster based in Southern California. As the videographer at Golden Daze Films, he blends fluid style with an eye for capturing core emotions: the quiet instance when a grandfather proudly observes his grandchildren from afar on a day trip, the second an artist’s voice subtly changes with the passion in which she describes her most personal work or the growing empowerment of students practicing self-defense with their teacher. It’s in these moments where emotion and authenticity intersect that Brian creates visual connection.

His other works include the short film, An Important Date, and the podcast, On-Screen Kimistry, with co-host Roy Kim, where Asian representation in American films is dissected with humor, fervor, and a splash of psychology.

Outside of what he does at Golden Daze Films, Brian’s love for traveling with his wife & two teens, still photography, screenwriting and sports keep him inspired.

Golden Daze Films is named after his dog, Daisy.
